The past couple of days has been surreal. Most of you know, Texas has been hit with a catastrophic and historic flooding event from the storm system Hurricane Harvey. In this post, I wanted to share words of encouragement from the book of Psalms for anyone living in Texas that have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. It has been incredible to see the efforts of first responders. But even more incredible is seeing the good samaritans of this city showing kindness. Just the level of humanity from complete strangers risking their lives and giving their time and resources likes boats to go and rescue people from their flooded homes. It is amazing to watch. In dire and grim times we can easily feel helpless, anxious, and...

Hi, ladies. It's the beginning of a new month and the chance to refresh and attack goals or tasks that you didn't complete in the last month. There is no room for excuses when you have faith and God in your life. This month's words of encouragement are from Matthew 17:20: Because you have so little faith, Truly I tell you, if you have faith, as small as a mustard seed, you say to to this mountain, Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. This passage will fill anybody's spirit and rejuvenate their being. Sometimes I need these reminders to help me conquer my obstacles. It is so easy to get bogged down by deadlines at work, financial struggles,...

I just celebrated 1 year since I was saved and decided to live my life like Christ. God is such a big part of my life and drives everything I do. So I decided to share with you guys why I decided to get baptized and take you through my journey of how I became the person I am today. The word Christianity gets thrown around a lot. People claim they believe in God and that all it takes to receive salvation one day is believe in God or ask for forgiveness of the multitude of sins we committed and we will be automatically absolved of everything. And we continue to sin after the fact. I'm here to tell you, I was one of those people. I...
