I teach women in serving professions – teachers, nurses, doctors, therapists, firefighters etc., how to align their personalities to their true style and give back to themselves, because let’s face it, they spend their lives giving to others.
I was in my mid 20’s and experienced a wardrobe meltdown of my own! I’m an Occupational Therapist and at that time I worked in a hospital setting. So my outfit of choice was scrubs 40 hours a week.
Don’t get me wrong, it was nice not having to plan outfits everyday. Until… I was offered a new job in a school based setting and I came to the realization I’d have to put on real clothes! You guys, my closet was a hot mess! I would get home from a long day of work and be completely exhausted. Over the years I completely ignored my closet due to no time, no energy, not knowing what to buy, which resulted in a chaotic wardrobe.
Those famous words crept in my mind, “I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!” Creating 1 simple outfit was challenging because I wore scrubs all the time and never paid attention to my wardrobe. Shopping was a disaster! I bought clothes that I thought was the “appropriate” attire for working in the schools, but I just didn’t feel right. As I approached 30, I realized I needed to change my whole outlook on my personal style and start to wear things that truly resonated with me. So after endless hours on Pinterest and trial and error, I finally created a wardrobe and personal style I truly love.
That’s why I created My Mayne Wardrobe. To provide women who find themselves in scrubs or a uniform more often than not with the necessary resources and education to creating a wardrobe that aligns with their life and true selves. I never want another woman to feel frustrated, confused, or overwhelmed about their wardrobe like I did.
My Mayne Wardrobe is a personal styling service. We help teach women who wearing uniforms how to reclaim their style.
