01 May “Monthly words of wisdom from Proverbs”
Hi, Ladies. Welcome back. When a new month starts, I will share scriptures that really resonate with my spirit and share with my readers. These passages are some verses that helped empower, encourage, or guide me through life’s obstacles. Hopefully, they will do the same for you for the month. In this month I will be sharing 3 verses full of wisdom from the book of Proverbs.
In my quiet times, I am currently reading and studying the book of Proverbs. If you did not know, Proverbs is full of wisdom, which is written by Solomon. It is a book full of instruction of our spiritual life. I find myself constantly referring to multiple verses from this book. As a new Christian, it is important to be in the word daily and let me tell you Proverbs does not mince words!!!
It is straight and to the point, which helps when we hit bumps or obstacles in life it can easily throw us off God’s path. It is easy to understand Proverbs and it provides wisdom on everything you can imagine conflict, marriage, being lazy, etc. So here are 3 verses full of wisdom that will help you in your life and spiritual life:
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Do you see what I mean? Straight and to the point. This one set me straight to know we all must “fear the Lord” to gain knowledge. Although loving and serving God is important as a Christian, fearing God is also at the top of the list so we can keep ourselves in check and know he is in charge. It allows us not to give into temptations (sin), but if we ignore wisdom it is foolish to do so.
Proverbs 3:21
My son do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgement and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.
This one is another powerful verses as well. Wisdom is a lifeline or a life vest for our spirituality, which comes from the bible. It is responsible for preserving our life. Without God’s wisdom, we are nothing.
The last verse is from Proverbs 13:6
Righteousness guards the person of integrity; but wickedness overthrows the sinner.
Straight and to the point. You have to love Proverbs!! This is a great one because it will constantly remind you to always do right and it keep your integrity. Who doesn’t want to live righteously?? Here it is in black and white if you are ever tempted by anything.
Here are 3 words of wisdom from Proverbs that are powerful in my daily life and help guide my life. Hopefully, it will help you to strengthen your relationship with God, or maybe seek out and want to study the bible to fully understand God’s words, or just help encourage you to get through this thing called life. Have a wonderful month of May everyone.
